Mini simmons hollow wood - making spine and ribs

  1. Hi Man great work! It's my goal to make a mini Simmons like this one and I have a couple of questions to ask you if you would be so kind to answer :)

    What's the thickness of the upper and lower decks? And what kind of wood did you use? I'm thinking of marine plywood..would it be good?

  2. dear matt,
    I used samba wood and wood okoumè to cover the surfboard. at the top I used a 6 mm thickness, while I used thicknesses from 8 mm in the bottom, to create the concave.
    the plywood wood is too heavy, while Pawlonia wood and balsa wood are lightweight and are perfect for the construction of a hollow surfboard. For more information bonsaisurf@gmail.com
